Okopako Lodge is situated is on a family farm and has large decks with panoramic views of the countryside, native bush and Hokianga Harbour. Okopako aims to provide reasonably priced accommodation within a rural eco-farm and gardens setting. Double, twin, family or dorm / shared rooms are available as well as onsite caravans, camp sites and camper van parking areas with a separate amenities block (with fully equipped kitchen). The accommodation facilities run on an energy efficient lighting system. There is gas hot water and cooking throughout. All beds are fully made up. Ideal for family and tramping groups. Fresh organic produce, homemade bread and farmhouse meals are available. An organic vegetable garden, established fruit trees and a worm farm are features of Okopako. DOC walkways begin at the gate and some walks on the farm itself are possible. Half of the farm is in native kauri forest where you can walk to enjoy the spectacular views. Stargaze while listening to the Morepork and Kiwis call at night no need for a TV here!
