Tarawera Landing

Description
Tarawera Landing is located at the end of Tarawera Road and is the closest access point to Lake Tarawera. It is a traditional landing and departure point for boats on lakes Tarawera and Rotomahana.
Surrounded by scenic reserve administered by the Department of Conservation. There are short walks to mouth of Te Wairoa Stream, the orchard and Tuhourangi rock paintings.
Facilities include toilets, boat ramp, jetty and café.
Dogs only permitted in the car park, on leads.
