A network of tracks in William Hartree Memorial Scenic Reserve give a good insight into the regenerating vegetation made up of broadleave species, podocarps, manuka, kanuka and many tree ferns.
Look out for the roadside sign 6 km past Patoka on the left. The network of tracks ranging from 20 minutes to one hour gives a good insight into the regenerating vegetation.
