Description

This is a standard 6-bunk hut located in Mount Richmond Forest Park in the Nelson Lakes area. Fees apply. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Altitude: 1,310 m. Facilities include heating, mattresses, non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use). There is seasonal 4WD access to Beebys Hut. Vehicle access is only permitted between 1 December and 30 April each year. Permits are issued by the Rotoiti / Nelson Lakes Visitor Centre. Bookings are essential and are accepted from 1 November to the end of the booking period. Foot and mountain bike access is permitted all year around. Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, yellow for youth) for each night's stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. Or buy a Backcountry Hut Pass that gives unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 6 or 12-month period.
