Description

This is a basic six-bunk hut in the West Coast region. There are no fees. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Facilities include heating, mattresses, non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use). The hut is 3 km from the start of Camp Creek Route. Note that this route has stream crossings and hazardous fall heights. Users must be experienced in backcountry tramping. Tracks to the hut: Ahaura River & Lake Brunner catchments routes.
