Culverden Hotel, the best (only) Pub in Culverden. Great atmosphere, with friendly staff and great food for special times. The Culverden Hotel has a 40 seat restaurant, a private outdoor garden setting and large decking out front to enjoy the sun over a beer and a meal. There is a bottlestore attached to the hotel that stocks a range of the 'necessities'. The accommodation is old style country, with 3 double rooms, and 6 single rooms. All rooms are quiet, protected from the highway noise by the building itself, they have new beds and bedding and blackout curtains. There are 2 shared bathrooms. There is also a 1/4 acre area available, for free, to self contained campervans and caravans. Power is available (for nominal fee). Nearby there is the Culverden Golf Club, a 9 hole well presented course that is popular with visitors, and the hotel is only a 35 minute drive to Hanmer Springs Thermal Resort.
