Description

This is an NZAC basic six-bunk hut located in Mount Aspiring National Park in the Queenstown/Wakatipu area. Fees apply. Bookings not required - first come, first served. This is a New Zealand Alpine Club Hut. This bivvy is situated on a col below Mt Earnslaw/Pikirakatahi high above the Rees Valley. Pay at Queenstown Visitor Centre. Be avalanche alert: This area has terrain that can produce avalanches that cross the track, usually from May into November.
