Description

This is a walk-in campsite on the Heaphy Track. It's nestled against beech forest on a limestone outcrop. Explore the numerous caves, nooks and crannies in the area. Bookings are required and fees apply. There are 5 non-powered/tent sites and facilities include non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use). The campsite also has wooden platforms for tent sites. Campers are not permitted to use hut facilities. This campsite is beside Gouland Downs Hut. It's a 2 hr walk from Perry Saddle hut and campsite, and a 1 hr 30 min to Saxon hut and campsite. No dogs.
