Lake Sylvan Campsite

Description
This is a scenic campsite in the Queenstown/Wakatipu area. Camp beside the Routeburn River. Walk to Lake Sylvan via the bridge or day walk the start of the Routeburn Great Walk. Fish in the river (fly fishing only). Bookings not required - first come, first served.
There are 36 non-powered/tent sites. Facilities include non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use). Fires are not permitted at any time.
It is accessible to motorbikes, RVs, camper trailers and caravans. Camping in tents is allowed.
Sylvan campsite may flood in heavy rain.
Dogs are not permitted.
