This site is the road end and trail heads of various tracks in Mt Aspiring National Park. Dogs are not permitted.
A Freedom Camping Notice is published for this location under the Freedom Camping Act for land administered by DOC. The only restrictions specified in the notice are;
You may stay overnight from 5pm to 9am the following day (The notice doesn't specify self contained as all other DOC SC sites do). Tents are permitted during the 5pm to 9am Freedom Camping Notice unless otherwise specified.
