All trampers intending to visit the MTC Hodder Huts are required to obtain a Huts Access Number. FIRSTLY apply for your Huts Access Number by emailing hodderhuts@gmail.com State your Name, Address, Phone/Mobile no., Number in Party, Date of trip, Number of nights staying at the Huts and the registration number and make of vehicle that will be left at Gladstone Downs. (Important info required in the unlikely event of needing to call in SAR ) Please also advise if you are carrying a PLB. This number should be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle when parked on the landowners property. In the busy summer months a tent may be required. NEXT contact Bev & Alan Pitts, the owners of Gladstone Downs (03 575 7471) to obtain permission for access across Gladstone Downs. Please quote your Huts Access Number when you ring. Also advise them of any changes to vehicle/rego that you will leave in the parking area as they keep an eye on vehicle movements to ensure parties have safely returned from the Mountain. The hut fees are $10 per person per night. This includes tenting. Please make payment as soon as possible after your trip. Please quote your access number as well as your name when making payment to MTC Bank Account which can be found on their website.
