Waimakariri River Park - Kaiapoi Island

Description
About 15km from Christchurch, the Kaiapoi Island section of the Waimakariri River Regional Park is a place for walking, running and cycling.
Gates open 4.30am to 7pm in winter and 4.30am to 10pm during daylight saving. Pedestrian access is available 24 hours. The entrance to Kaiapoi Island is next to the Challenge service station at the corner of Wrights Road and Main North Road.
Dogs must be kept under effective control at all times.
Picnic tables and public toilets are available. No barbecues are provided but visitors are welcome to bring their own, provided they are gas only and used in areas clear of vegetation. Light no fires.
There are 18km of two-way, shared use tracks. The Raven Quay Loop is 18.5km and the Wrights Road Loop is 8.5km.
No camping or overnight parking.
