Owners Greg and Tammy have converted one piece of their gallery into a 4 bunk humble backpackers with a mini lounge. They are very hiker biker friendly. Greg is the author of a local guidebook, Fiordland Unexplored and has a wealth of knowledge of the area. The accommodation itself is casual, you need to bring your own linen/sleeping bag. It is a bit like a DOC hut but more comfortable and with interesting information, maps, electricity etc. You also get access to a nice hot shower and flush toilet- luxury! This spot is a great base camp for before or after a trip into the backcountry. Please note, no kitchen facilities here. Pub, eateries, 4 square nearby. Advised to contact the hosts before arriving since they're not always home & there's no formal reception.
